Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains how ModiQ (“ModiQ, ” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with this website (the “Site”). It covers the Site only. It does not cover any separate storefront, application, or service operated by us or on our behalf, each of which publishes its own notice.
2. Information we collect
The Site is a static informational website. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no forms that submit data to us. We do not use analytics, advertising, or social media tracking on the Site.
- Information you send us. If you email the address published on the Site, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical data when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamp. This is used to operate and secure the Site and is retained by the provider under its own retention schedule.
3. Cookies
The Site does not set cookies and does not use local storage, pixels, or similar tracking technologies. Because of this, no cookie banner or consent mechanism is presented.
4. How we use information
We use the limited information described above to respond to inquiries you send us, to operate, maintain, and secure the Site, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use this information for automated decision-making or profiling.
5. How we share information
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not disclose it for monetary or other valuable consideration. We share information only with service providers that operate the Site and our email infrastructure on our behalf, and only as needed for them to provide that service, or where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect our legal rights.
6. Data retention
Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and to keep a reasonable business record, after which it is deleted or archived. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider under its standard retention period.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to appeal a decision we make about such a request. Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, have these rights under applicable state privacy law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
To make a request, email mmerkier@modiq.org. We may need to verify your identity before acting, which typically means confirming control of the email address associated with the information.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, be aware that any information you send us may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your country.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
